The surrounding scenery is highly picturesque, and no person of taste can fail to be delighted with its beauties.

DISCOVERIES

Some of the most important work I've done is discovering and correcting erroneous history. From toponyms being assigned to wrong features, to toponyms being misspelled, to the stories behind them being false, I'm committed to high fidelity history. I have already uncovered 75 naming and etymological mistakes.

Alec La Mountain Mountain is misspelled for eponym Alex Lamountain

Anthony Ponds were never visited by Theophilus Anthony and may be named for a colonel Anthony

Lower Wolfjaw Mountain and Upper Wolfjaw Mountain were not named by state surveyor Verplanck Colvin

Lower Wolfjaw Mountain, Upper Wolfjaw Mountain, and Wolfjaw Brook should be spelled Lower Wolf Jaw Mountain, Upper Wolf Jaw Mountain, and Wolf Jaw Brook, respectively, especially since state surveyor Verplanck Colvin referred to the two peaks as "the Wolf-Jaws" and "Wolf-Jaw range"

MacDonough Mountain has been assigned to the wrong mountain, and this name is spelled with a lowercase "d"

Schofield Hill and Schofield Pond are misspelled for the eponymous Scofield family

Squaw Mountain (now named Beaver Mountain), Squaw Brook (Porter Brook), and Little Squaw Brook (Onion Brook) should be restored because the word squaw is an objectively inoffensive word that means "young woman," and because these toponyms honored a real-life squaw
